We stood for a moment and then Frank said “I’d just like to say a few words“ I realised then what a rich narrative scene I’d been presented with.
Plaza Sant Felip Neri, linocut, 50 x 50cm, edition of 20, £230. This beautiful serene and quiet square in Barcelona was the scene of a horrific scene on January 30th 1938 when fascist bombs killed 30 people, mostly refugee children from Madrid. 12 more people were killed by a second wave of bombs as they tried to rescue the survivors.

Passion for pizza, reduction linocut, 18.3 x 29.2cm, edition of 23, 180. I saw in the “sits vac“ section of the local paper an advert to join Domino’s Pizza. The person specification wanted someone “passionate about pizza“. I pass Dominos walking the kids to school and written in the grime on one of the delivery cars was this, “pokey bum wank £3.50“. This is truly not London graffitti, the value alone sets it apart.
